Straighter Teeth for a Stronger Smile
Orthodontists work with patients who have crowded teeth, TMJ, and other problems. Treating patients with braces is about more than just cosmetic treatment. Braces also help with tooth and jaw alignment problems.
Many children first see an orthodontist around age 7, but your dentist will let you know when it’s a good time for an orthodontic consultation. This helps to reveal any issues early on and leaves time for an orthodontist to set a treatment plan in motion.
Highlands Ranch Dental Group has all your dental needs under one roof. If you are a dental patient, we will be able to refer you to our in-house orthodontist, Dr. Paul Hamersky.
Dr. Hamersky has been practicing in and around Highlands Ranch for over 25 years, and he has helped thousands of patients achieve a straighter, healthier smile. He also treats patients who have problems with sleep apnea, and he is an Invisalign practitioner.
If you want straighter teeth, you have these options:
Invisalign: Invisalign is especially popular among adults, as it is an invisible treatment system that offers more flexibility than braces. Treatment time is also usually shorter. This is not recommended for children because it requires self-discipline.
Braces: Most children are treated with braces, and treatment often begins between the ages of 9 and 14. The total time in braces varies, but most children have them for 1-2 years.
