Nitrous oxide is the most conservative option for sedation. Also called laughing gas, nitrous oxide is a colorless, gentle gas.

Nitrous oxide is a very conservative sedation option. One benefit to is that the effects wear off quickly, so you’ll be able to drive yourself home after your appointment and resume normal activities like work or school.
